The Jockey^® Story

In 1876, Reverend Samuel T. Cooper, a retired minister, was vacationing in the woods of Minnesota. Reverend Cooper met a group of lumberjacks with an unlikely problem. Their socks were made of shoddy wool that caused blisters and were terribly uncomfortable. Because Reverend Cooper’s lifelong mission was to help people, he set out to make a better grade of socks for the lumberjacks. Over the years, the company grew and today is known as Jockey International, Inc.

Jockey has launched a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Jockey Person to Person, Inc. This direct sales company offers an beautiful and fashionable line of bras, panties, sleepwear, activewear, menswear, and comfort extras in a home party setting sold by independent Comfort Specialist^® consultants.

Based in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jockey is a privately owned company led by third generation Chairman and CEO Debra S. Waller, who is also the founder of Jockey Person to Person. Jockey’s mission is to be the company that best "Satisfies the Human Need for Comfort." What could be more comfy than purchasing beautiful products in the comfort of your own home with friends?
